Current statistics revels that version wise market share of OSX are as follows : These email clients are supported by all versions of Mac OS X. Depending upon the need, a user can choose any email client. However, with the availability of different email clients, users do not have to depend completely on these two. Apple Mail and Microsoft Outlook are the two widely used email clients on Mac systems. Mac users have many choices of using different email clients. And they might use Apple's Webview version, which means rendering quirks might depend on the OS X version you're using. However, I do know that all Outlook's versions on Mac use WebKit's rendering engine (instead of Word's rendering engine on Windows). ![]() The successor to Outlook 2011 for Mac was simply called Outlook for Mac (or Outlook 15.3). As far as I know, there is no Outlook 2013 for Mac. They just don't let you use ActiveSync with Max OS X Mail. They work fine using ActiveSync on iOS devices and Outlook 2013 on Windows 7/8. I have the same issue and a little bit of research on the web will indicate that Microsoft made a conscious decision to NOT support any Mac OS X email/calendar/contacts with their free service.
